Triple E Games Changes Summer Forever

High sounding words yes, pompous maybe. But on Sunday 22nd the Triple E Family is set to produce the first of its kind, a truly out of foil type event.

A sports day on the beach and Full 12 Hours of activities. As seemingly impossible feat, this event is tipped to raise the bar on committee events in Trinidad. The entire Sports Day is build around an elaborate point system. Before the beginning of proceedings each team will receive a list of activities and relevant points. Officials hosting each game will be positioned at different points on the Maracas Bay coast. Teams will walk to each activity and compete against each other and the clock, as the more activities completed the points a team can accumulate.

Risse Bhola will be hosting the Raindrops Relay

Limits will be placed on entering games repeatedly so that all have a fair chance at holding the trophy. Each game allows for participation of four or more people and involves some thinking, not only physical strength. Interestingly, many of the games have never been played before and have been specifically developed for this day of fun.

Adding to the excitement, as soon as night time hits, their will be no gloomy faces waiting on transport, or dodging bottles by uncle sam. All patrons will be wisked away to Nanan's beach resort and enjoy more activities in "Drinking Games" the after party hosted by The EEEmpire and Meogul Entertainment. The night stops only when you stop. The bar is un-busable according to staff.

TEAMS:
Starr Struk Entertainment - Green
Eddie Entertainment - Baby Blue
Ravers Crew - Brown
Blaque Pheonixx - Black
Playboys - Navy Blue
Meogul Entertainment - Purple
TTSA Barbados - Orange

Check four feature activities to be played come Sunday:

# Raindrops Relay
What is needed:
• Two buckets per team, one filled with water
• A plastic baggie per team
How to play:
Put a bunch of pin holes in the plastic baggie. The group lines up sitting down, one in front of the other ~ so they are facing the back of the person in front of them. The bucket filled with water goes behind the last person, the empty bucket goes in front of the first person. This bucket should be marked at the halfway point. The baggie is given to the first person. When the race starts, the first person takes the baggie to the back bucket, fills it with water and then trys to get the water to the front bucket, but she has to carry it over the heads of her team. She dumps what water is left in her baggie into the front bucket. The line shifts up and she sits in the back. She then passes the baggie to the front person, and that person repeats the process. The winner is whatever group fills their front bucket to the halfway point first.
# Balloon Squat Relay
What is needed:
• One water balloon per player, plus extra
How to play:
Two or more teams line up. They pick up a water balloon and run to the finish line. There they sit on the water balloon and pop it, then they run back to the starting line and the next person goes. If their water balloon pops before they reach the finish line they must go back and get another. First team done

# Tug of War
What is needed:
• Long Rope
• Mid Point Marker
Teams pull with all their might till the half marker is pulled 1 meter toward either team

# 5 a Side Beach Football
What is needed:
• One Football
• Two Goal Posts
• At least one female on your team!

How we make things GLOW, The Venue Part 2

This is the Graffiti walk through:

Picture the  short drive to Algico Plaza, 30 seconds from the lighthouse. Parking on St Vincent Street with security officers and parking officials on hand to assist you.

Exit your car and enter Algico Plaza.

Look up and imagine the revelry and pure ecstasy of the experience above.

To your left and right exist the dual water fountain adding to the ambiance of the plaza.

Your ticket is torn and you are greeted by the lovely Graffiti Glow Girls welcome you to the college GRAFFITI experience. You are now directed to one of the spacious elevators.

The sexy bell girl supervises your lift seven levels above Port Of Spain. While in the elevator you admire the pictures of White Jersey Season decorating the interior.

Exit the elevator, enter the party.

More Graffiti Glow Girls will be on hand to give you your complementary glow sticks and direct you to the bar to taste our glow in the tequila dark shots.

Upon entry to the dance floor, it is difficult to see colours as everything glows effervescently under the black lights. The surround sound vibrates through your shoes as your weave your way throwing glowing people to the Body Art Caribbean Table. Their you get your FREE temporary tattoo done!

Party your life away. Get your jersey GRAFFITI-ed by JAP INC, Airbrushed by FRAUD Inc or Drawn on by a friend. This is marker mayhem!

WAIT -- the party aint done yet! Its 5.30 am, the sun is rising.

Enter the rooftop balcony:
Outside the penthouse Dougies Soup is ready to serve all, hot corn and cow heal soup at reasonable prices. That Chow man hits the spot everytime with his blend of Chow.

The Diary of Binghi Bings

Will she find her way to the party?
Will Denicia give her back her man?
Will Chanti-Poo ever stop bad talking her?
When when would she realise that she has on a White Jersey?
These are some of the questions arising out of the latest film put on by Triple E and Pure Plyrz.
Part of the promotional campaign for the college GRAFFITI experience II, Graffiti Glow, this production is described on youtube.com  as "The story of Renelle Mclean, and her journey to GRAFFITI GLOW in a land where it seems as though everyone is ALREADY Glowing."
Thus far only part one of the short film put on by Dele Frasier and the Triple E Crew has been released to youtube. The Film features Kevon Adams and several other young actors in a close knit screenplay documenting the encounters Binghi has with various individuals of several persuasions. All of the people besides flunking student "Binghi Bings" seem to be excited by this "GLOW".

How we make things GLOW - The Concept

What is the Concept?

Concept: an abstract or general idea inferred or derived from specific instances. We define concept to be the activity or the action in and surrounding a particular event. eg. Dresscode, Water Trucks with water hoses etc all form parts of the concept. Concepts include: Mardi Gras (beads, masks), Water Party(patrons wear bathing suits and get sprayed with water) etc
Theme: a unifying idea that is a recurrent element in literary or artistic work; "it was the usual `boy gets girl' theme". We define theme as the general gist of the event. eg. Lighting, Set up, decoration, Entertainment all contribute to the theme of the night. Themes include: A Retro Theme, A Carnival Ole Mas Theme etc.

Basically the concept is the VERB(depicts action, like free drinks before 12) and the theme is the NOUN.

For the EEEmpire's next event, the college GRAFFITI experience II, one of the the main attractions of the event is its interactive concept.

According to the EEEmpire's facebook.com event, this party comprises of college students dressed in plain white t-shirts. These patrons would write all over each other with Glowing markers or paint. Quoting from the page, 'The EEEmpire' says: "As it gets later in the night, and people get more intoxicated, the messages get more interesting. It is especially fun trying to read your white t-shirt the next morning, usually there will be some funny and obscene stuff in words and pictures."

This Graffiti concept is an international concept, pioneered by Bacardi (the company behind Bacardi Superior and Bacardi 151) who began hosting large Graffiti Parties since 1988. Now on its twenty first year, this party is still a hit. According to beforelastcall.com, at this party everyone gets a white t-shirt, the place is covered in white paper, thousands of sharpies lay about, and you drink and write on everything! It becomes VERY interactive by the end. This year Bacardi is hosting its 21st Annual Bacardi Graffiti Party.

Enjoy the promo video here:

The EEEmpire, hoping to bring international concepts and entertaining solutions decided to localise this theme. Last year for the college GRAFFITI experience I, they included crayons, abeer and paint to the concept of markers on white. According to Armani Fernandes, "We are all Trinidadians, so our culture must show in anything we do. I am from south of the border and I use more abeer than anything else"

This year, for the college GRAFFITI experience II, the concept of this event has been tweeked to fit the 2010 "artistic Glow in the Dark" theme. Never done before in the world, this glow concept includes glow in the dark markers and paint to create an additional euphoric effect in the darkness. Patrons are expected to be whisked away to the 7th floor of Algico Plaza in fine style, escorted by the Graffiti Glow Girls. After connecting with this 3G network, all enter the Marker Mayhem and literally let loose as every and anyone has the opportunity to leave an indelible impression on another patron.
Asked to describe what the part two of this experience would be like, one committee member said:
"Imagine the pulsating rhythms of the best blend of our dancehall, hip hop and local music. You spot that girl you wanted to talk to for the longest while. After some flirtations, you leave your number on her jersey and return to your friends. The next day wether she calls or not does not matter because it would simply one out of the many. For you have an entire jersey full of signatures, deisgns, phone numbers and any and almost everything else which would serve as your permanent reminder of your Graffiti Glow experience."

For those interested:
Perhaps the "bad boy" in you has thought about spray painting graffiti somewhere, but you don't want to deal with the legal problems of it. If you and your friends want to let loose the graffiti artists inside you, you can host a party to do so. You can use such a party to redecorate your home with profound, four-foot high, spray painted words if you want to. Even if you only want to paint on canvasing board, a graffiti party is a great way to let loose the rebellious artist in you without becoming an actual delinquent. Read it all here.
