The Diary of Binghi Bings

Will she find her way to the party? 

Will Denicia give her back her man? 

Will Chanti-Poo ever stop bad talking her?

When when would she realise that she has on a White Jersey?

These are some of the questions arising out of the latest film put on by Triple E and Pure Plyrz.
Part of the promotional campaign for the college GRAFFITI experience II, Graffiti Glow, this production is described on youtube.com  as "The story of Renelle Mclean, and her journey to GRAFFITI GLOW in a land where it seems as though everyone is ALREADY Glowing."
Thus far only part one of the short film put on by Dele Frasier and the Triple E Crew has been released to youtube. The Film features Kevon Adams and several other young actors in a close knit screenplay documenting the encounters Binghi has with various individuals of several persuasions. All of the people besides flunking student "Binghi Bings" seem to be excited by this "GLOW".

Media Splashing In a Water Shortage?

Newest on the scene for the Triple E Team is the Preliminary Media Splash. 
According to facebook "The aim of this media splash is to showcase Trinidadian Lifestyle for what it really is" The Media Splash team believes that "the average Trinidadian has a lifestyle which is inherently entertaining!"
I had a chance to catch up with Ken Sambury and Jermaine Hamilton both integral parts of this media' centered operation.

Speaking with Jermaine Hamilton first, I got a gist of what this is about:

Q. So to you what is this Media Splash?

A: The media splash is a showcase of trini lifestyle

Q: So how do you think J Hamilton Photography will benefit from this media splash?

A: Well I think it is always better to meet with people directly. To me it is the point of any marketing strategy. So I guess for me, a lot more people would knw who I am and what I do. This Sunday I'm having a photo shoot at 70 percent off, as part of this, just to say a big hearty thank you to fans etc.

Q: I notice its "preliminary" what does this mean?

A: well simply put, this is a DRY RUN. So don't blame us if we reach a lil late or the videos are shorter etc. This is where we test the waters, because its still lent, people have not really started to party yet. 

Today I also spoke with Ken Sambury who was beaming with excitement about this project. He explained that it was his idea to bring local creative media to life but complained that he rarely has the equipment and support to do so. However, the splash is a new format through which he hopes to showcase a more than the average "scene". Below is in brief what he said about this "preliminary splash"

Q; What is this Media Splash?

A: Basically its an extensive video and photo blog which is meant to showcase our culture, not in its traditional forms, but the culture of our lifestyle much overlooked in trini. In my opinion "just what we do everyday, is entertaining! "

Q: What aspects of our culture do u find is most overlooked?

"The culture of our lifestyle". What we do from day to day is unique to Trinidad and Tobago. 

Q: How soon is the Media Splash supposed to begin? Where is it to take place? Give me some details.

A: Thursday, 04 March 2010 at 18:00 until Monday, 08 March 2010 at 02:45. It takes place at Malls, Parks, Schools, Godai, Zen, 51 Degrees, Your Bedroom, Your Back Window, D Mango Tree Next Door. EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE!

Q: And can anyone become apart of this media splash or is it going to be specific to The EEEmpire an it's members?

A: Well since the splash is us walking around with cameras filming people we plan to start with ourselves, because we are readily available but ANYONE we see in passing could, should and would share the spotlight!
